Focus and Scope

Jurnal Islam Nusantara is a peer-reviewed scholarly platform that disseminates critical, original, and transformative scholarship on contemporary Islamic thought and praxis. Rooted in the Islam Nusantara paradigm—a moderate, inclusive, and contextual approach that bridges sacred texts with socio-cultural realities—the journal offers a rigorous forum for examining the dialectic between universal Islamic values and local traditions in response to global challenges, peacebuilding, and modern civilization.

The journal's scope encompasses a broad yet focused range of inquiries, including contextual examinations of the Quran and Hadith, Islamic Theology (Kalam), Islamic Mysticism and Sufism, and Islamic Philosophy. Alongside theoretical discourse, the journal welcomes research-based manuscripts on Islamic Education and Management, Contemporary Islamic Law (Fiqh), Islamic Economics, and Islamic Art, Culture, and Historical Civilization. Through a rigorous double-masked review process, the journal invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to foster progressive, civilized, and globally relevant Islamic discourse.
